Knee Meniscus Repair Rehab Protocol

ACL Bone - Patellar Tendon - Bone Autograft Rehab Protocol

Your surgeon has chosen to reconstruct your ACL using a Bone-Patellar Tendon- Bone Graft.  Our team of physical therapists has treated numerous patients following ACL surgery, and understands the differences in the recovery between a Bone-Patellar Tendon-Bone Graft and a Hamstring Graft. Whether from a traumatic injury or non-contact athletic injury, VTFC providers fully understand what is required to successfully rehabilitate a patient/athlete following ACL surgery.  Our staff is competent in treating a variety of ACL surgeries including: isolated ACL surgeries, surgeries involving meniscus repair/debridement, injuries involving multiple knee ligaments, or injuries involving the joint capsule. We have a specific plan to get you back to athletics, recreational activity, or everyday life. We have treated numerous high school, college, and professional athletes following their ACL injury. Total Knee Arthroplasty Rehab Protocol

The next step after your total knee replacement surgery is to embark on the rehabilitation process to improve your knee symptoms and knee function. Our extensive expertise and knowledge of knee anatomy, knee biomechanics, and experience treating total knee replacement surgery patients will help guide you through a plan to get back to doing the things you want to be able to do.  The intent of this protocol is to provide the clinician with a guideline for the post-operative rehabilitation course of a patient that has undergone a total knee arthroplasty.  After knee replacement surgery, physical therapy is crucial to returning to former mobility and function.
